Lofty Totals: The slow-moving system which moved through last night dropped quite a bit of rain around here. Most of that rain fell last night and made for some great sleeping conditions, especially if you were looking to make up for lost sleep from the daylight saving this past weekend.
Totals ranged from around 1" in Greenville, Clemson, Asheville and Rutherfordton with closer to 0.75" in Franklin, Anderson, Greenwood and Anderson. The highest total we received was 2.5" which came from a viewer report in Table Rock, SC.
Sunny, Warm Afternoon: Now that the rain has moved east, we'll have a sunny sky the rest of today. Sunshine will be out all afternoon and temperatures will respond quickly. Upstate highs will range from middle to upper 60s in Upstate/NE Georgia towns. Western NC highs will reach the upper 50s to low 60s in many places.
Chilly Mornings: We'll start the day cooler early Wednesday and especially early Thursday. Expect upper 30s and low 40s tomorrow morning and then upper 20s to start the day on Thursday. However, a sunny sky will be back out both days, but we won't warm up as much as temperatures reach the 50s by the afternoon. Wednesday will be a bit blustery at times so if you're cold-natured, you might need the light jacket or long sleeves during the day.
