FOREST CITY, NC (FOX Carolina) -
A western North Carolina man is accused of trying to scare people and firing his gun into an occupied home, according to police.
Forest City police said Cornelius Edgerton, 43, shot a gun into a home on Ridgeway Court on Monday about 8:10 p.m.
Police said there were people inside the home at the time of the shooting but no one was injured.
Edgerton was identified as the suspect and arrested Tuesday morning, police said.
He was charged with discharging a weapon in to an occupied dwelling, communicating threats, discharging a weapon in the city limits, and going armed to the terror of the people.
