COLUMBIA, SC (FOX Carolina) -

An Enoree man's luck playing the lotto has paid off for him - and his son's future.

The man told South Carolina Education Lottery officials that he plans to save $50,000 of his $200,000 winnings for his son to give him when he turns 18.

"I want him to have a better life than I did starting out," the man said when he went to pick up winnings at the lottery office in Columbia.

The man won the money playing the $10 Crazy Wild 10s game, which the odds of winning are 1 in 500,000.

For selling the claimed ticket, the Li'l Cricket on Highway 92 in Enoree received a $2,000 commission.
