Clemson police said they arrested a Seneca man accused of shooting one man and robbing two women at gunpoint earlier in March.

Police said March 4, 23-year-old Montrez Jones robbed two female friends while they were visiting the male victim at the Goldenwoods Apartment complex on Georgetown Street in Clemson.

Jones demanded more cash then shot the man in the leg before fleeing, police said. Officers said Jones stole cash from all three victims.

At the time, investigators said they were looking for a black male suspect wearing a black hooded jacket came to the victim's apartment armed with a pistol asking for money. They said he was seen fleeing the area in a white Ford Crown Victoria.

Police said Jones was later identified as the suspect, warrants were signed, and he was arrested in Seneca on Saturday and taken back to Pickens County Detention Center.

Jones was charged with possession of a firearm during commission of a violent crime, attempted murder, three counts of kidnapping and three counts of armed robbery.
