CHESNEE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Chesnee woman was killed in a head-on crash in Spartanburg County on Tuesday morning.

The wreck happened at 6:15 a.m. on Parris Bridge Road near the intersection with Archibald Road, about five miles south of Chesnee.

Troopers said a four-door vehicle was headed south, when the driver crossed the center line, hitting an oncoming car, driven by 53-year-old Nancy Frady.

Spartanburg County Coroner Investigator J. Dwayne Corn said Frady was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the four-door vehicle was taken to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Troopers said both Frady and the other driver were wearing seat belts.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, troopers said.
