WALHALLA, SC (FOX Carolina) -
A man was sentenced to 16 years in prison after an Oconee County jury convicted him of two drug crimes.
Dan Temple was found guilty of possession of crack cocaine and possession of Xanax.
Tenth Circuit Solicitor Chrissy Adams said Temple was arrested at the Town and Country Motel in Seneca on July 25, 2012, when authorities executed a search warrant. She said the warrant was a result of documented cases of Temple distributing drugs from the location. She said both crack cocaine and Xanax were found during the search.
Temple was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the cocaine charge and a year in prison for the Xanax charge. He received an additional five years for a probation violation.
Adams said Temple has a criminal history dating back to 1989, including drug convictions, property crimes and voluntary manslaughter.
