Cool Friday: Mostly cloudy sky today with cool temperatures. Temperatures will warm slowly and reach the low-middle 40s around noon. This afternoon will most likely be dry as well with temperatures reaching the upper 40s and low 50s for Upstate towns. Western NC towns will range from 45° to 50° this afternoon.
Spotty rain will be possible after sunset, but won't be that likely until after 9pm tonight.
Rain for part of Saturday: Expect some morning rain (likely scattered or spotty) to come down off/on. I'll repeat what I have been saying all morning long which is: even though we're calling for wet weather, Saturday won't be rainy all day long. Instead, there will likely be a lot of dry time through the afternoon. Downpours aren't possible as temperatures won't be warm enough to hold much moisture and the system won't be strong enough to produce much moisture.
Temperatures will remain in the 40s for many towns with some low 50s common in the Upstate by Saturday afternoon.
Sunday - Rainy: 100% chance of rain, especially during the morning on Sunday. This will be a cool rain and there may be a few downpours due to a slightly stronger and more developed system. There won't be as much rain in the afternoon, but we'll still have the drizzle and light rain around, which can be a nuisance.
Kendra will be on tonight to fill you in on next week's slightly warmer conditions that we will all look forward to. I hope you all have a relaxing weekend!
