SIMPSONVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Imagine the possibilities when you're hoping to win $1 million.

The million-dollar trick is to create a recipe, with less than 30 minutes prep time and seven ingredients, including a Pillsbury dough product and a Pillsbury-sponsored product, for the Pillsbury Bake-Off contest.

It's a contest that has an Stephanie Bright, of Simpsonville, cooking up a lot of chicken wrapped in Pillsbury crescent dough. She's a semi-finalist hoping for a big-time payout, but she needs the community's help.

The public can vote online for 60 semi-finalists picked by Pillsbury. The top 33 will head to Las Vegas in November to compete for the $1 million.

Bright is the only semi-finalist from South Carolina. She calls her recipe "Green Goddess Chicken Wellington." It's made with Green Giant frozen chopped spinach, green onions, cream cheese, gorgonzola cheese, Pillsbury® Crescent Recipe Creations® refrigerated, two chicken breasts, and a cup of half and half.

The "green goddess" comes from the sauce that tops the pastry-wrapped chicken.

Bright hopes her recipe takes her to the Pillsbury Bake-Off finals for the second time. She was there last year for her Greek Chicken Faux-Coccia Sandwiches.

"It is just the best experience. It gets you out of your shell. I'm a shy person by nature; it's helped me overcome that," Bright said.

Pillsbury's Bake-Off contest has been going on since 1949, but this is the first time that each finalist will be picked by the voting public.

Bright said if she won the money, she'd save it for her kids to get to college, and she wants to go back to school herself.

Voting started March 14 and ends on March 28.
