Deputies: 2K pills, drugs found during traffic stop

CLINTON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies said they arrested a Laurens County duo after a traffic stop led to the discovery of a large quantity of drugs, along with guns and alcohol.

Laurens County deputies said they found 225 grams of cocaine, 441 grams of marijuana, 175 grams of crack cocaine, approximately 2,000 ecstasy pills, various types of controlled substances and two handguns - one of which was stolen out of Greenville County - when they pulled over a car during a routine traffic stop Saturday.

Deputies arrested Jamicia Calwise, 33, and Karyae Williams, 32, after the discovery. Both are being held on $250,000 bonds.

Calwise was charged with trafficking in cocaine, trafficking in ecstasy, possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, speeding, and transporting liquor with a broken seal.

Williams was charged with trafficking in cocaine, trafficking in ecstasy, possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, transporting liquor with a broken seal, unlawful carrying of a handgun, possession of a stolen weapon, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
