FAIR PLAY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A police chase that started in Georgia ended with a crash in South Carolina on Tuesday evening.

Sheriff Mike Cleveland, of Hart County, GA, said deputies responded to a domestic dispute at a home on Beacon Light Road. He said that when deputies arrive, Tommy Crocker became irate and then fled in his car.

Cleveland said Crocker, driving at speeds of 100 mph, traveled about 10 miles on Hart County roads before taking Highway 77 to Interstate 85 and traveling north into South Carolina. He said that when Crocker reached Exit 2, he reversed directions. He said that when Crocker reached the first mile marker on the southbound side, his car hit a concrete barrier and tore the right side off his vehicle.

Crocker was taken to a hospital in Oconee County to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, Cleveland said.

Cleveland said Crocker will be charged with felony fleeing and eluding a police officer in Georgia. He said Crocker will most likely face a reckless driving charge in South Carolina.
