Deputies search for missing Oconee Co. teen

WALHALLA, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies said they are looking for an Oconee County girl who has been missing for more than a month.

Jimmy Watt, public information officer for the Oconee County Sheriff's Office, said 16-year-old Katherine Lidey was reported missing from her Westminster home about 6 a.m. Feb. 27.

Watt said Lidey, who goes by Katey, is believed to be in the Oconee County area. He said the girl has been seen in Salem and Seneca. He said the girl also has family in Pittsburgh and may be trying to get to them.

Lidey is described as white, 5'1" tall and 155 pounds, with blonde hair and green eyes.

Anyone with information regarding Lidey's whereabouts is asked to call the Oconee County Sheriff's Office at 864-638-4111.
