Nicole Papay is a meteorologist for FOX Carolina and usually appears on The Morning News on Monday through Friday.
Nicole grew up on in the suburbs of Philadelphia in Horsham, PA, and graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor's degree in meteorology.
Before coming to Greenville, Nicole began working in Oak Hill, WV, where she was the weekend meteorologist and weekday reporter for WOAY-TV. She later moved to Albany, NY, where was the weekend meteorologist and weekday reporter fro WXXA-TV.
In April 2013, she joined FOX Carolina.
On the weekends, I love to: Hike, lay out by my pool and generally do anything outdoors. Plus, visit my family back in Philly as often as I can. And of course, cheer for Penn State sports, go Nittany Lions!
My favorite movie is: Anything with Kate Hudson, she's my favorite.
My favorite kind of music is: I'll listen to almost anything, but I love Dave Matthews Band, Alicia Keys and country.
My favorite food is: Spaghetti with Butter...I know, I'm like a 5 year old.
Hidden talents: I'm teaching myself to cook, and everything turns out pretty well (so far).
Hobbies: I love to garden.
Pets: My "baby girl" Mattie, a 13-year-old Golden Retriever mix. She had to stay behind in my hometown, but I love and miss her and have a bazillion photos of her everywhere I can put them!
Most memorable story: In Albany, NY, pit bull puppies were found starved, injured and near death on the railroad tracks. I got to follow their story for months, starting with their survival, getting nursed back to health, and ending with an incredible outpouring of support from the community for the local animal shelter. The dogs popularity led to theirs, and many other homeless animals' adoption.
