SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Legendary television host Regis Philbin will tour the Spartanburg Regional Medical Center on Saturday.

Lisa Oliphant, spokeswoman for the hospital, said Philbin's private tour of the hospital will be followed by the Society of 1921 Gala on Saturday evening, where he will serve as the guest of honor.

The society represents people who donated at least $1,250 during 2012 to the Spartanburg Regional Foundation, which helps raise money for the hospital.

Philbin, who retired from his popular morning show in 2011, holds the Guinness World Record for most hours on camera by any person.

Saturday's black tie gala is invitation-only.
