GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The suspect accused of a killing a Greenville man appeared before a Greenville County judge for a bond hearing Friday morning.

Brandon Turner, 20, was charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime following the fatal shooting of 44-year-old Kevin Porter on March 29.

Greenville County deputies said Porter was found dead between two abandoned buildings along the 300 block of Stafford Street in the Dunean area.

Coroner Barry Wright said Porter was shot in the head.

Master Deputy Laura Campbell, of the Greenville County Sheriff's Office, said investigators received a tip that led to the arrest of Turner on Monday.

Turner was arrested at Greenville Memorial Hospital, where he was being treated for an injury not related to the case.

The judge denied Turner's bond. He will have to appear before circuit court judge to have his bond set.
