GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies in Greenville County said the man who fired shots in Taylors and prompted a standoff in west Greenville on Friday, has turned himself in.

Deputy Jonathan Smith, of the Greenville County Sheriff's Office, said investigators were called to a home on Lilly Pond Lane about 2 p.m., after a woman said a man she knew fired shots into her car and then fled.

Smith said the woman gave the man's address to deputies and provided a description of the vehicle he was driving. He said the vehicle was found at the Courtney Circle address the woman provided. He said the man was ordered to come out of the home, but when no one exited the SWAT team was called to the scene.

The man spoke to investigators on the phone, and officials believed he was in the home, according to Smith. He said during the course of the phone call, deputies determined the man was not inside the home.

Smith said Randall Lee Batson Jr, 22, turned himself in just after 7 p.m. Friday after talking with family members.

Batson was arrested and charged with attempted murder. He is being held in the Greenville County Detention Center.

No injuries were reported.
