WALHALLA, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies said they have arrested a man in connection with multiple thefts of aluminum valued at more than $27,000.

Oconee County deputies said 52-year-old Charles Haynes broke into Dixie Aluminum in Long Creek two times in the past few months.

Haynes broke into the business between Feb. 1 and March 13 and between March 27 and April 2, according to deputies.

During the first burglary, deputies said Haynes swiped $2,200 of rolled aluminum, then during the second he took a $25,000 roll.

Haynes was arrested on Tuesday on multiple charges of grand larceny greater than $10,000 and second-degree burglary.
