CLEMSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Clemson City police said a woman who stopped at the Clemson Bi-Lo store was carjacked, robbed and forced to drive the suspect to Pendleton.
Police said the victim stopped at the Bi-Lo store on her way home from work about 10:25 p.m. Monday and when she got back in her car, a woman got in the car through the passenger side and told her to drive.
The suspect, later identified as 29-year-old Nakesha Holden, told the victim to drive her to a location in Pendleton. They stopped at one place, then she made her keep going, police said. Police said the victim told Holden she had to get gas in her car, and when she stopped, Holden got out of the car for an unknown reason.
The victim sped off and went to Clemson police to report the incident. Police said before Holden left, she stole the victim's money.
Police said they were able to identify a person of interest and later arrested Holden on a charge of carjacking.
Police said no one was injured during the carjacking.
