Your kids could be competing in an online beauty contest using Instagram. It's a social media app where young girls are going up against others in beauty pageants online, and it allows anyone to vote for who's the prettiest.
You basically upload your picture, and if you get the most likes, you win. If you don't get the most likes, you will get a red "X" over your face.
Upstate therapist Roger Rhoades says online stuff like this can be damaging.
"It's just another way for kids to be improperly judged rather than on who you are as a person, and that's hard to convey on social media," said Rogers.
Instagram released a statement, saying they "work hard to make Instagram a safe, interesting and vibrant place for teens to spend time and express their creativity through photos."
