Posted: Updated:

We've been talking about it for a few days now: Severe Weather.  Our above average temperatures and moisture flowing in from the south are fueling a cold front to spark some storms and potential severe weather in the Upstate later today.

Today:  Dry through noon, early PM scattered showers and storms become consistent towards evening.  Potential for high winds, downpours, hail and isolated tornado threats.

Overnight: Storms continue, mild lows in the upper 50s.

Friday: A lingering shower/storm in the morning, then dry by noon.  Decreasing clouds, highs in the mid 70s.

Saturday: Back to beautiful sunshine with highs in the mid 70s Upstate, low 70s for Western N.C. towns.

Sunday:  Weekend ends with partly cloudy skies and highs in the mid 70s.
