GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville police said they were investigating a robbery at a gas station along East North Street Friday, prompting partial lockdowns at two nearby schools for a short time.

Johnathan Bragg with Greenville police said the robbery happened at the Breakers-Shell gas station at 1630 E. North St.

Bragg said E. North Street Academy and Greenville Academy were placed on partial lockdown because of the investigation.

A Greenville County Schools spokesman said the lockdowns were later lifted.

Bragg said the robber had not yet been located, as of 11 a.m.
