GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Wednesday night, the city of Greenville will celebrate the completion of a 15-month, multi-million dollar renovation of the Hyatt Regency Greenville.
The event will feature cirque style performances and live painting starting at 5:30 p.m.
The Hyatt was first built back in 1982, but thanks to the renovation now boasts a fresh, more modern feel, both inside and out.
The whole corridor, including the connected office building and outside courtyard, was renovated as well. The renovation includes new shopping/retail space, and space for a new restaurant with outdoor dining called Roost.
A permanent stage for the city-sponsored beer and music festivals was also erected.
City officials said it has brought new energy to the North side of Main Street and has attracted even more business.
The Hyatt is located at 220 North Main St., Greenville, SC.
