GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A popular post office in Greenville reopened after a car crashed through the front entrance Wednesday morning, closing the office for a few hours.

South Carolina's United States Postal Service spokesman Harry Spratlin said a driver crashed her car into the front entrance of the post office located at 100 Orchard Park Dr. off of Haywood Road. It was closed for a few hours.

Customers looking to access their PO boxes or conduct business inside will have to wait until the location reopens, Spratlin said.

Employees had cleared all of the broken glass from the area, but the front door had to be inspected before the office could reopened.

He said the driver refused treatment.

Other nearby post offices are located at 1521 Laurens Rd. near Pleasantburg Drive, 19 Conestee Ave. in downtown, 2431 N. Pleasantburg Dr. near Cherrydale and 498 N. Main St. in Mauldin. Customers looking for other locations can search online here.
