AMHERST, MA (WSHM) -

An Amherst man was arrested Wednesday evening after attempting to rob a Pharmacy.

Amherst police said Ryan Edward Rasys, 23, was arrested after he allegedly entered the Pharmacy on College Street wearing a ski mask.

According to police, Rasys demanded narcotics then fled on foot.

Police said they found Rasys on Northeast Street and arrested him.

Rasys faces two counts of armed robbery after investigators also determined that he's a suspect in the CVS Pharmacy robbery that happened on April 22.

Investigators said the same method of robbery was used and the descriptions of the suspect in that robbery and this one were very similar.
