WOODRUFF, SC (AP) -

Hundreds of items belonging to a former Anderson County councilman accused of masterminding a Ponzi scheme that bilked investors out of millions are being auctioned off.

Attorney Beattie Ashmore says items including farm equipment, antiques and horse supplies can be previewed by the public Friday at Ronnie Gene Wilson's Live Oak Farms in Woodruff. The auction is Saturday.

Ashmore was appointed to sell Wilson's assets to pay investors victimized by his scheme. Prosecutors say Wilson and another man promised to buy and sell silver for customers, but invested little of the $90 million they took in and either lost the money or kept it for themselves.

Wilson is serving a 19-year federal prison sentence for mail fraud. Other items belonging to him were auctioned off last month.
