Four Greenville County middle schools students were suspended after they were found with marijuana at school, a district spokesman said.
Oby Lyles, director of communications with Greenville County Schools, said a Blue Ridge Middle School eighth-grade student brought weed to school on Thursday and he shared it with three others.
One of those kids showed it to other students, who told a teacher, Lyles said.
After the school's administration investigated the report and contacted law enforcement, Lyles said the students were suspended pending a recommendation for expulsion.
Lyles said the students would be charged by the sheriff's office.
