GREER, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies said a Greer man forced a woman to have sex with him, then robbed her at gunpoint with a sawed-off shotgun on Tuesday.

Spartanburg County deputies said they were called to a home on Arlington Road about a disturbance involving a gun. Deputies arrived to find the victim outside and the suspect unarmed.

Deputies said the suspect, 29-year-old Joshua Cash, was detained while they investigated. The victim told deputies that Cash forced her to have sex then pointed the gun at her head, demanding all her money, according to the deputy's report.

Cash told deputies where the gun was hidden, which deputies said was a sawed off shotgun hidden under a mattress and was under the legal barrel size.

When questioned, Cash denied forcing the victim to have sex, deputies said.

Deputies said the victim, who knew Cash, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Deputies arrested and charged Cash with armed robbery, third-degree criminal sexual conduct and unlawful possession of a firearm. He is being held on $65,000 bond at the Spartanburg County jail.
