SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Police said they tried to track whomever invaded a Spartanburg man's home Thursday morning.

Spartanburg police said the man was in his bedroom when he heard a noise then saw someone standing in his hallway about 1 a.m.

The man told police he saw a red light, closed the door then called 911. While waiting for police to arrive, the man heard one person say, "He is in there," according to the police report.

Police said they found the East Hampton Avenue home's back door kicked in and the man's son's bedroom was messed up but nothing appeared to be missing.

Police said they used canines to track whoever was in the house but did not find anyone.

Anyone with information about the home invasion is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
