GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

After an urgent plea was issued to adopt 73 animals from Greenville County Animal Care, a line formed out the door Thursday to give the critters a new home.

The animals were put on the super urgent list and expected to be euthanized if they were not adopted Thursday.

While most will likely get adopted, the shelter said they need support year round to help take care of the 20,000 animals they take in.

If you want to adopt an animal from Greenville County Animal Care, they are located at 328 Furman Hall Rd.
