GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville County deputies said they identified and arrested a Greenville man a week after he held up a Wells Fargo bank.

Deputies said on May 1, a man entered the branch at 2312 W. Parker Rd. just before 5 p.m., brandished a gun and demanded money before getting away with some cash.

After receiving several Crime Stopper tips, deputies said they identified the suspect as 41-year-old Heath Whitehead with the help of photo lineups.

Deputies spotted Whitehead driving along Cedar Lane Road on Wednesday where they pulled him over and arrested him on charges of armed robbery and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

He is being held on a $35,000 bond at the Greenville County Detention Center.
