SENECA, SC (FOX Carolina) -

An Upstate man accused of threatening to harm himself and others on a college campus was charged with disturbing every school in Oconee County, according to deputies.

Oconee County Sheriff's Office spokesman Jimmy Watt said 23-year-old Robert Ivester was charged with 20 counts of disturbing schools in the wake of last week's threats.

Clemson University issued a campus-wide alert on May 2 after deputies alerted them of Ivester's threats to "kill himself and kill other people, as well as going to a college campus and causing death," according to campus police.

The next day, Ivester turned himself in to probation and parole officers on probation violation charges in addition to forgery charges in Oconee County, deputies said.

According to the newest warrants, Ivester's threat prompted Oconee County Schools to be placed on code yellow, affecting the teachers and students from conducting normal activities.

Ivester remains in jail in Oconee County.
