Authorities in western North Carolina are investigating a family dispute that led to shots fired and one person dead.
Buncombe County deputies said the incident happened early Saturday morning after a fight between a father and two sons.
Officers were dispatched to the scene at Rathfaraham Circle just before 1:30 a.m.
Deputies said a son, identified as Joshua Alexander McArdle, shot his father, Arthur McArdle and his brother Banning McArdle before turning the gun on himself.
The shooter died from his injuries, his father and brother were transported to Mission Hospital and treated for their gunshot wounds, deputies said.
Officials haven't released a motive at this time, saying it's still too early in their investigation to put out that information. Deputies said the dispute had taken place over several days and that there are no other suspects or shooters at large.
