UNION, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies in Union County said they found the suspect wanted in connection with a stabbing that killed one man and injured two others.

Union County deputies said 25-year-old Landon Turner was involved in a fatal stabbing that killed one man and sent two others to the hospital Saturday night.

Sunday, Union County Sheriff David Taylor told FOX Carolina that investigators believe Turner was on the run. Monday afternoon, deputies said Turner was arrested and in custody in Mecklenburg County, NC.

The attack happened very close to a party Saturday night in Union. Deputies said the victims were stabbed while walking to or from the party. While there were witnesses, deputies said they don't yet have a motive for why this attack happened.

Deputies said they were dispatched to Arthur Street in Union Saturday night after they received calls of a knife fight in process. When they arrived, they found a large crowd surrounding 29-year-old Ryan Allen, who suffered stab wounds and was being worked on by an EMS crew.

The unanswered questions have left the family of Allen, who was killed in the attack, heartbroken. They said Allen was a son, big brother and father and didn't have any known enemies.

"He's a pretty down to earth guy, he's never started nothing and had no problems with nobody," said Allen's brother, Brian Allen.

Two other men were taken to the hospital with stab wounds. A family member of one victim, Brian Young, said that Young is still in the hospital but is improving, but now has to deal the news that his close friend died in that attack.

"I'm just thinking they were in the wrong place at the wrong time, that's all, both are good people both are good men from a good family," said Adgremenia Kershaw, Young's cousin.

While deputies continue to look for Turner, they said they're still learning more as their investigation continues and say there may be more arrests.

"We know that Turner did not act alone," said Taylor. "We know there were other individuals involved, we have names and a strong idea who they are and are working the case."

The Allen family said it's time for the people responsible to turn themselves in.

"I would like to see justice served because no mother should have to write out an obituary on Mother's Day," said Brian Allen.

Deputies said Turner was in Mecklenburg County custody being treated at an area hospital. Union County deputies interviewed Turner and said they issued a warrant for murder.

Once he released from the hospital, he will be booked into the Mecklenburg County jail awaiting extradition to Union County.

"Although a lot of progress has been made in this case, this is still an on-going investigation," Taylor said. "I do expect more arrests in this case. At this time, no other information is available."
