A memorial scholarship fund has been established in the name of a Peoria High School student who was struck and killed by a car at a Glendale intersection on his way to school Tuesday morning.

Jeremy Skramstad, 17, previously was a student at Ironwood High School, according to the Peoria Unified School District.

The fund is called the Jeremy Skramstad Memorial Scholarship, according to a former teacher of Skramstad. She said donations can be made to Chase Bank, account No. 431734107. All donations are tax deductible, she said.

The scholarship will be awarded to a student or students from Ironwood's graduation class of 2015, the year Skramstad would have graduated, she said.
