GILBERT, AZ (CBS5) -

Gilbert police took a 27-year-old man into custody after the fatal shooting of another man in a Gilbert neighborhood Thursday night.

Brandon Shriner was one of several people at the scene of the shooting near Guadalupe and Greenfield roads when he was taken into custody, a police spokesman said.

No charges had been filed and the incident was still being investigated as a homicide, the spokesman said.

Officers said they found the body 46-year-old Winston Lewis in the street in front of the house after gunshots were reported in the Gilbert neighborhood about 9:45 p.m.

The spokesman said no motive had been established.
