NC business sold jewelry stolen from local homes, deputies say

SHELBY, NC (FOX Carolina) -

A Shelby, NC, store owner is accused of buying and selling jewelry stolen from local home, according to Cleveland County deputies.

Deputies said they searched Tiffini Hovis' store A Perfect Find on Friday after receiving a tip about the goods.

Deputies said Hovis violated North Carolina law regarding the buying and selling of precious metals.

She was arrested and charged with obstruction of justice, accessory after the fact, receiving stolen goods, and possession of stolen goods.
