PICKENS, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Dacusville woman accused of killing her 5 and 7-year-old children and shooting her husband was released from the hospital Monday afternoon and booked into jail.

Pickens County deputies said 35-year-old Suzanna Simpson was released from Greenville Memorial Hospital before 5 p.m. and was en route to their county detention center on charges of two counts of murder, one count of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Deputies said Simpson shot her 5-year-old son Sawyer Simpson, 7-year-old daughter Carly Simpson and tried to kill her husband 34-year-old Michael Simpson at their Cherokee Trail home on May 14 before leaving and wrecking a truck down the road.

Suzanna Simpson was hospitalized with injuries until Monday. Her husband remained in critical condition, according to hospital officials on Sunday.

She was booked into the jail and was scheduled to appear before a Pickens County magistrate at 10 a.m. on Tuesday for arraignment, which deputies said was canceled after the public defender asked the hearing be waived.
