WEST SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

The casino company looking to build a West Springfield casino released the findings of an economic impact study on Tuesday.

Economic analysis firm Pro Forma Advisors, LLC says Hard Rock's casino plan would bring 3,500 permanent jobs and more than 2,700 construction jobs to Hampden County.

Their study also shows total employee earnings for the county would be $173 million with a total direct facility expenditures at $270 million a year.

The study says the average pay for employees would be $50,000 a year.

Pro Forma also claims sales, hotel and income taxes will boost revenue to state and West Springfield by nearly $12 million.

Hard Rock wants to build a 100,000-square foot casino on the Big E fairgrounds in West Springfield.

The other casino companies interested in building in Western Massachusetts are MGM in Springfield and Mohegan Sun in Palmer.
