Woman dies after Tyler motorcycle wreck

TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

From the Tyler Police Department:

At approximately 5:20Pm on May 24, 2013, Tyler Police were notified of the motorcycle accident at Grande and Sutherland.  

The driver of a black Ford F-150 was heading east on Grande and turning left onto Sutherland.  The driver stated that he did not see the motorcycle that was traveling west approaching the intersection. 

The driver of the truck then failed to yield right of way to the motorcycle.   

The driver of the motorcycle, identified as Jessica Gaspard, 36 years old, crashed into the Ford truck.  She was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.  She was transported to a local hospital and subsequently died from her injuries. 

There were no injuries to the occupants of the truck. 

The investigation is ongoing at this time and no charges have been filed.
