A Saluda, SC man is facing charges in Spartanburg after officers said he tried to rob a man.
According to the report from the Spartanburg Public Safety Department, officers were called out to a robbery in progress on Woodview Avenue Sunday night.
The victim in this case told officers that he had arrived home from work, and as he approached his front door, he noticed a man kneeled down by his vehicle with a gun. The victim then said he took off running and yelling, "he is trying to kill me," according to the report.
Officers said another man had pulled into the neighborhood, and saw two men chasing the victim.
Several officers responded to the scene, along with K-9 units, and eventually tracked down 26-year-old Cruise Rauch.
Rauch faces charges of attempted armed robbery, and possession of a weapon during commission of a violent crime. He remains in the Spartanburg County jail, held without bond.
The second suspect listed in the report hasn't been located, according to officers.
