SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Spartanburg County deputies and police are investigating three burglaries of local cash and loan stores from the weekend.

On Monday, a Carolina Payday worker arrived to open the store about 8:30 a.m. to find someone had broken into the John B. White Sr. Boulevard store, according to Spartanburg police.

Police said the woman noticed a door inside closed that was normally open and when she went around back of the store, another door was open. Police said a lock on one of the file cabinets had been drilled out and money inside was stolen, while other money in the business had not been touched.

Police said they were then called to the Easy Cash Payday Loans store on North Church Street minutes later.

An employee told police she received a call on her way into work Monday from a partner store about a burglary, and when she got to the store, she noticed things askew. She told police that some items on her desk had been moved along with two cash boxes had been moved.

Spartanburg County deputies said they were called to the Quick Cash store on Asheville Highway just after 8:30 a.m. on Monday too.

An employee said he noticed chairs pulled out from behind desks and had received call from another Spartanburg Payday store letting him know about their burglary, according to deputies.

In all three cases, filing cabinets' locks were drilled out and money left inside was missing. The Quick Cash store reported a theft of more than $3,400, deputies said.

Authorities said all three stores were closed from about 2 p.m. on Saturday until Monday morning.

Deputies said they have not yet established if the three incidents are connected.

Anyone with information about these burglaries is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
