SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies hope someone will recognize or know of a man who has an injured hand and walks with a limp who they said broke into a Chesnee home recently.

Spartanburg County deputies said on May 21, a man broke into the home about 10:20 a.m. and stole three laptops, a GPS, some costume jewelry and a "princess party" towel rack.

The inside of the home was ransacked, with a television left sitting on the floor in addition to a busted rear window next to the back door that the burglar tried to pry open but couldn't, deputies said.

The homeowner had surveillance cameras, which deputies said show the man pull up in the driveway at 10:15 a.m. then knock on the rear door several times before leaving in maroon or burgundy four-door car.

Deputies said the car then returns at 10:21 a.m., pulls into the carport, and the man goes to the same door where he tries to pry it open with a crow bar but couldn't, so he busts open a window.

Deputies said the man was wearing a gray or green ball cap, black T-shirt and jeans.  They said the video shows the man walk up to the home with a limp and he cut his hand, so they hope someone will recognize him with those characteristics.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
