SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies said they arrested a Georgia man accused of pulling over an Upstate couple, pretending to be an officer.

Spartanburg County deputies said Christopher King, 24, of Ringgold, was charged with impersonating a law enforcement officer and was arrested at BMW in Greer Thursday afternoon.

FOX Carolina spoke with the victims who said King came up behind them flashing his lights and horn on May 8 at night.

"He got out of the car and came up to our car. I asked him what was the problem and he told me I had the problem. He claims I was going 15 miles over the speed limit," said the victim.

When the couple asked if he was an officer, he said yes and identified himself as Christopher King, deputies said.
