ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Anderson County deputies said they arrested a woman after they found three dead cows and several other malnourished animals at a Honea Path barn.

Deputies said they were called to the barn on Abercrombie Road on Tuesday after someone reported cows had been shot.

But deputies said they found the cows had died from malnourishment and were placed in a storage area of the barn. Deputies said they also found two malnourished cows and a horse still alive.

Hilerey Kinzel, 33, was called to the barn and arrested on an outstanding warrant, deputies said. Animal control officers later charged her with six counts of ill treatment of animals.
