ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

An abandoned Anderson home caught fire Monday morning and a responding firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion, authorities said.

Firefighters were called to the blaze at a home on Bolt Drive about 9:30 a.m.

Firefighters said when they arrived at the home, they said heavy smoke was coming from the home and fire was spotted in the back of the home and the attic.

One of the firefighters was treated at the scene for heat exhaustion but was said to be doing OK, firefighters said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
