GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The woman accused of killing her two children, and shooting her husband, has been transferred from the Pickens County Jail to the Greenville County Detention Center, according to Pickens deputies.

In a statement from Pickens County Chief Deputy Creed Hashe, he said Suzanna Simpson was transferred Thursday to Greenville County after a request from the 13th Circuit Public Defender's Office.

Hashe said the reason Simpson was moved was because the Greenville County Detention Center is equipped for on-site medical care for inmates with injuries or medical conditions.

Simpson suffered injuries to her back in a car accident near her home last month. That accident led deputies to the discovery of the bodies of Simpson's children, 7-year-old Carly and 5-year-old Sawyer. Simpson's husband Michael was also shot and injured.

Deputies said Simpson admitted to shooting her family at their Cherokee Trail Home May 14. She's charged with two counts of murder, and one count of attempted murder.

Hashe said Simpson's condition would be reviewed every two weeks, to see if she should remain at the Greenville County Detention Center for continued treatment, or if she would be transferred back to the Pickens County Detention Center.
