GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Greenville police said they arrested a man accused of driving drunk and then hitting a pedestrian and a telephone pole.
The accident happened just after 11:10 a.m. Monday at Queen Street and Perry Avenue.
Police said they arrived to find that a car had hit a pedestrian, then the pole.
Greenville Police Department spokesman Johnathan Bragg said the driver, 63-year-old Richard Campbell, was given several field sobriety tests and was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and driving under suspension.
The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, Bragg said.
