PELZER, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A man is in the hospital after he was shot multiple times, and then wrecked his car in front of the Pelzer Rescue Squad, according to deputies.

Anderson County deputies said that the wreck happened just before 8 a.m. on Sunday. When the rescue squad saw the wreck, they noticed that the driver had been shot multiple times. Capt. Darrell Hill said they rendered aid to the man and then drove him to Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Through investigations, deputies said they learned that there had been a shooting at a home on River Street in Pelzer, likely within the hour of the wreck Sunday morning.

Deputies secured a search warrant and found no one in the home where the shooting took place.

At this time, investigators have not heard of any additional gunshot victims.

The victim is listed in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit at GHS. Investigators said he drove himself to the Pelzer Rescue Squad to get help.

On Monday, deputies said they arrested two suspects in connection with the shooting, Billy Crane, 27, and Jamie Eaton, 32. Deputies said both men were charged with attempted murder.
