EASLEY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

People lined the streets from Easley to Seneca Monday, waiving flags and giving thanks to Marines making their way into town for a much-needed break.

The organization Honoring Their Service has been offering a camp-like adventure along Keowee Key for the past five years to hundreds of Marines.

The Marines are expected to take part in kayaking, water-skiing, hiking and other activities in the coming days, while getting the royal treatment from some locals.

They'll also be treated to a veteran's appreciation dinner in Seneca and breakfast served by the town of Salem.
