GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Manning ambulance provider's mascot is missing and the dog's owner is looking for her, saying they believe the Beagle mix is in the Spartanburg area.

Heather Welch with East Palmetto Ambulance Service said their dog Chloe was let out to use the bathroom when she wandered into the road and was picked up by passers-by on Thursday.

A couple who picked up Chloe went to a nearby gas station along Greeleyville Highway in Manning, where they left the clerk their phone number and mentioned the Spartanburg area then left with Chloe, according to Welch.

Welch said Chloe was is a 4-year-old Beagle-Dachsund mix who was rescued and has some medical conditions. She said she knows someone is taking care of her and they want to be reunited.

Welch and a friend traveled to the Upstate to look for Chloe on Tuesday. She said a reward is being offered for her return.

Anyone who has seen Chloe is asked to call 803-460-8800.
