GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville has a new restaurant on North Main Street with local roots.

The Asheville-based eatery, Tupelo Honey Cafe, opened its new location on Tuesday in downtown Greenville. It is the company's fifth restaurant and the first in South Carolina.

The cafe has unique decor, including a light fixture made from tea cups and metalwork art depicting local landmarks. The cafe features a full bar called The Pickled Okra.

Tupelo Honey Cafe has the slogan, "New South flavors. Scratch-made."

"We like to make full flavors, and I like putting interesting twists on things," said executive chef Brian Sonoskus.

The restaurant is located in the new ONE Building along North Main Street in Greenville.
